چکیده

In this paper, we consider a special class of hybrid systems with periodic time-triggered jump conditions, and in which the jump map has a piecewise linear character. This hybrid systems class forms a relevant field of study as different control applications can be modeled in this hybrid system framework, including reset control and event-triggered control systems. After showing the unifying modeling character of this class of dynamical systems, we are interested in analyzing stability and L2-gain properties and we present novel conditions to do so which are significantly less conservative than the existing ones in literature. The effectiveness of the proposed modeling and analysis techniques is illustrated by means of a reset control example.

Improved ℒ2-gain analysis for a class of hybrid systems with applications to reset and event-triggered control

In this paper, we consider a special class of hybrid systems with periodic time-triggered jump conditions, and in which the jump map has a piecewise linear character. This hybrid systems class forms a relevant field of study as we show that three different control applications can be modeled in this hybrid system framework, namely event-triggered control, reset control and networked control sys...

L2-gain Analysis for a Class of Hybrid Systems with Applications to Reset and Event-triggered Control: A Lifting Approach

In this paper we study the stability and L2-gain properties of a class of hybrid systems that exhibit linear flow dynamics, periodic time-triggered jumps and arbitrary nonlinear jump maps. This class of hybrid systems is relevant for a broad range of applications including periodic event-triggered control, sampled-data reset control, sampled-data saturated control, and certain networked control...

A lifting approach to ℒ2-gain analysis of periodic event-triggered and switching sampled-data control systems

In this work we are interested in the stability and L2-gain of hybrid systems with linear flow dynamics, periodic time-triggered jumps and nonlinear possibly set-valued jump maps. This class of hybrid systems includes various interesting applications such as periodic event-triggered control. In this paper we also show that sampled-data systems with arbitrarily switching controllers can be captu...

Analysis of Applying Event-triggered Strategy on the Model Predictive Control

In this paper, the event-triggered strategy in the case of finite-horizon model predictive control (MPC) is studied and its advantages over the input to state stability (ISS) Lyapunov based triggering rule is discussed. In the MPC triggering rule, all the state trajectories in the receding horizon are considered to obtain the triggering rule. Clearly, the finite horizon MPC is sub-optimal with ...

Event-triggered control via reset control systems framework

This paper deals with a systematic way to design the event-triggered rules to stabilize a class of linear reset control systems. The event-triggering condition depends only on local information, that is it only uses the measured signals. The approach proposed combines a hybrid framework to describe the sampled-data system with Lyapunov-based techniques. Dwelltime dependent constructive conditio...
